Fare questions
Every line on the fare board carries transport, hostel nights and the price per day together. Here are the questions students send us most.
Included: coach and rail tickets, seat reservations, four hostel nights in a 6-bed dorm, a city transport pass and one group leader per group.
Not included: food, city tax of EUR 2 to EUR 4 per night, and personal spending. Booking fees and taxes sit inside the row total.
We divide the trip total by the days travelled, counting both travel days. Kyiv to Warsaw to Prague runs 8 days at EUR 412 per traveller, which is EUR 51.50 per day.
Night-train couchette supplements of EUR 19 are added before the division, never after.
A Schengen short-stay visa costs EUR 90 in consulate fees plus the service centre charge. Entry rules are set by consulates and can change.
